Having Fun With Bold Lips

ImageImageImage

Lately, i’ve been going completely out of my comfort zone by playing around with lip colour. Let me start by saying I’m no makeup pro.  The only difference between my day look and my “going out” look is a bit of liquid liner, and half the time I manage to fuck THAT up.

However, with bold lips being a big trend this season, I thought I’d hit up Shopper’s and give it a go. I was surprised and impressed by how a bit of lip colour can give you a completely new look.

1. Plum Velour by Revlon (I was hoping this colour would be a bit darker and more purple, but it’s still a nice colour nonetheless)
2. Rouge Shine by Sephora
3. Red Rival by Maybelline

I’m looking to invest in a really nice red and deep plum lipstick, and would love some recommendations!

Everyday Makeup Look Essentials

I am a drugstore product gal 100%. I’m sorry, but $45.00 for a bottle of face goo is a little steep for me. I like to keep my makeup really light and natural for everyday, and I cannot, WILL NOT go without these products. They’re seriously my holy grail.

  1. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream. This stuff is gold. I think it has actually improved my natural skin.
  2. Sephora Baked Sculpting Trio for subtle contouring
  3. Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Rose Petal
  4. Elf Mineral Infused Face Primer
  5. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Fair
  6. Maybelline Mega Plush Volume Express
  7. Sephora Eyebrow Pencil
  8. Eyebrow brush
  9. Tapered blush brush

I usually finish off my makeup with a “your lips but better” type lipstick or lip balm, and i’m good to go!
